Mission Statement
The Innisfail Senior Drop-In Society (located in the Lundgren Centre) provides and facilitates programs, activities, friendship, social development, and healthy well-being for adults 50 plus.

About Us
"The group started back in 1974, meeting at the United Church to play cards, games, and have coffee and tea. At the time, the Health Nurse surveyed the Town to see if there was an interest in a Seniors Drop-In - there was!"

In June of 2018, the Innisfail Senior Drop-In Society got a new name on the building and a new logo.

"It's now called the Lundgren Centre," said member Jean Bennett. "Mabel and Oscar Lundgren were the couple that began the senior drop-in (society)."

With the Society being an important part of the Innisfail community for more than four decades, Bennett said they wanted to honour its founders and their contributions.

"They started it out in a small building down on Main Street," she said. "When the town was building offices (over there) they built a centre for them to use at that same building."

The Innisfail Senior Drop-In Society is in the same location today but the building, which is owned by the Town of Innisfail, is now called the Lundgren Centre.

The Drop-In Society features weekly activities such as musical entertainment & jam sessions, carpet bowling, cards, birthday parties, and other social activities. We also provide community assistance and have outreach programs for the older demographic in the community.
